Tvm : The Entrance Examination for Admission to the MD Homoeopathy courses for 2007-08, in the two Government Homoeopathic Medical Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode will be held on 22.12.2007 (Saturday) at Thiruvananthapuram.
The Examination, being conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala will consist of two papers, each of two hours duration with each paper having 150 Objective type (Multiple Choice) questions. Paper I will consist of Pre-clinical and Para-clinical subjects and Paper II will consist of Clinical subjects. The topics and the number of Questions in each topic is given in the Prospectus.
Selection of Candidates except for the seats reserved under Rural Service Quota and under for Teachers working in the Private as well as Government Homoeopathic Medical Colleges in Kerala will be made on the basis of the rank in the Entrance Examination.
Courses: The subjects to which admission will be made are M. D. (Hom.) Materia Medica [Doctor of Medicine in Homoeopathy - Materia Medica]; M. D. (Hom.) Homoeopathic Philosophy [Doctor of Medicine in Homoeopathy- Homoeopathic Philosophy] and M. D. (Hom.) Repertory [Doctor of Medicine in Homoeopathy- Repertory]. Each course shall be of 3 years duration including one year House job. There are 6 seats each at Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode for each of the 3 subjects.
Reservation of seats: The seats for Materia Medica, Homoeopathic Philosophy and Repertory will be distributed among the different categories as follows: All India General Merit (AIGM-9): 3, 3, 3; Scheduled Caste(3): 1,1,1; Scheduled Tribe(1): 1,0,0; Kerala General Merit(KGM-16):4,6,6; Teachers in the subjects concerned, working in the Private Homoeopathic Medical Colleges in Kerala(2).: 1,0,1; Teachers in the subjects concerned, working in the Govt. Homoeopathic Medical Colleges in Kerala.: 2,1,1(4) ; Rural Service Quota (1): 0,1,0
Eligibility for Admission:
Nationality: Applicant should be an Indian Citizen.
Educational Qualification: Applicant should possess BHMS Degree (Direct/Graded) or its equivalent, declared thereto, by the Central Council of Homoeopathy. Candidates who have completed the prescribed internship training on or before 31.10.2007 are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination subject to the condition that they should produce the Medical Council Registration Certificate at the time of admission. Candidates who have passed the final year examination with more than three chances are not eligible for admission.
Age: Applicant should not be more than 45 years as on 01.01.2008 subject to relaxation of a maximum of five years in the case of SC/ST Candidates and Teachers of Homoeopathic Medical Colleges/Research Officers of Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy.
Application forms: Application form and Prospectus can be downloaded from the web site www.cee-kerala.org. There will be separate Application forms for General and SC/ST candidates. Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities and candidates who are children of Inter-caste married couple of which one is SC/ST have to apply in the separate application form meant for SC/ST candidates in order to claim reservation/other benefits.
Submission of Application: Those candidates, whose selection is based on the Entrance Examination should forward their filled up applications along with supporting documents mentioned in the Prospectus and a Demand Draft of Rs. 800/- (for General candidates) and Rs. 400/- (for SC/ST candidates), drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala – 695 001, either by Registered post or hand delivery so as to reach him before 5 pm. 30.11.2007 (Friday).
Rural Service/Teachers Quota: Candidates applying against the seats reserved under Rural Service Quota and under Teachers Quota in Government and Private Homoeopathic Medical Colleges should send their applications routed through their Heads of Departments/Institutions with necessary NOC furnished in the application form and the application fee of Rs. 800/- by way of Demand Draft (drawn from any Nationalized Bank, in favour of the Principal and Controlling Officer, Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, payable at Thiruvananthapuram) to the Director of Homoeopathy, East Fort, Thiruvananthapuram -695 023 [in case of Rural Service Quota] or to the Principal and Controlling Officer, Government Homoeopathic Medical college, Iranimuttom, Thiruvananthapuram, Pin-695 009, [in case of Teacher’s Quota] so as to reach the concerned before 5 pm on 30.11.2007 (Friday).
Allotment: The CEE will publish a Rank list of candidates based on merit as assessed at the Entrance Examination and forward the same to Chairman and Convener of the Selection Committee. The Selection Committee will consist of the Principal, Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram (Chairman and Convener) and one State Government nominee not below the rank of Under Secretary, a representative of the Department of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Development, not below the rank of an Under Secretary, the Principal, Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Kozhikode, Director of Homoeopathy, Government of Kerala, as members. The Selection Committee will make the allotments and forward the Select list to the Colleges concerned for making admission.
