MBBS/BDS at KLE University, Belgaum
The KLE University, Belgaum, Karnataka will be conducting KLE University Under Graduate All India Entrance Test - 2008 (KLE UGAIET 2008) from 10 a.m to 1 p.m on 27.4.2008(Sunday) at Belgaum, Bangalore, Pune, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Panjim, Indore, Jaipur and Chandigarh, for admission to MBBS and BDS courses at JN Medical College, Belgaum and Institute of Dental Sciences, Belgaum respectively, for the academic year 2008-09.
There are 150 seats for MBBS and 100 seats for BDS. Seats are reserved for various categories, details of which are available in the website http://www.kleuniversity.edu.in/
The KLE UGAIET - 2008 will consist of one question paper in English Medium and will contain 200 multiple choice objective type questions, 50 each from Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology of 10+2 level. Detailed syllabus is available in the website.
Applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination PUC II / HSC or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or any other examination equivalent to 10+2/HSC examination of any recognized Board/University from any School/College situated in India/Abroad after 12 years of study and should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually & must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together in the qualifying examination. The candidate should also have scored 50% marks in English language. They should also secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together at KLE UGAIET-2008 for admission to MBBS/BDS courses. Applicants belonging to SC/ST should have obtained at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology in the qualifying examinations as well as at KLEUGAIET-2008.
Those who have passed the qualifying examination earlier than March /April 2006 are not eligible to apply. The applicant should complete 17 years of age on or before 31.12.2008.
Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination can also apply subject to certain conditions. Applicants can register for the KLE UGAIET-2008 online, through the link http://www.kahe.edu.in/ugaiet08/ugaietform.asp till 5 pm on 31st March 2008 (Monday). A hard copy of the application form has to be sent along with a DD of Rs.1500/- drawn in favour of Registrar, KLE University, payable at Belgaum, Karnataka, towards processing fees, along with necessary documents listed in the Brochure, which is available in the website.
Candidates may also obtain the application form along with Brochure from The Registrar, KLE University, JNMC Campus, Nehru Nagar, Belgaum, KARNATAKA – 590 010, by sending a processing fee of Rs.2000/- only by way of DD favouring Registrar, KLE University, payable at Belgaum, Karnataka. The duly filled application form should be sent to the University along with the necessary documents. Brochure and Application forms are also available from J. N.
