ALIGARH: Febr 15: Prof. P K Abdul Azis, Vice Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, in the presence of Registrar,
Finance Officer, Controller Examinations and other senior functionaries of the University, released the Application Form
and Guide to Admissions 2008-09 for admission to various Courses on the Website: www.amucontrollerex ams.com
today. The Application Form and the Guide to Admissions can be downloaded free of cost from this Website. There will
be no sale of Admission Forms as in the past at the University or at any other places in the country.
In the meeting of the Admission Committee of the University held on 10.01.2008 it was unanimously decided to make
available the Admission Form and Guide to Admissions to the admission seekers on the Website. It is noteworthy that
there shall be only one Form that can be filled in separately for admission to different Courses. However, submitting the
Forms online shall not be possible. The University has also made arrangements for Helpline Mobile Telephone Number
09837043345 and email: helpdesk@amucontrol lerexams. com between 8.00 am to 12 midnight with a view to attract the
best students.
In a meeting earlier in January 2008 the Executive Council decided to have four Admission Test Centres at Bhopal,
Kolkata, Kozhikode and Pune. Admission Tests for Class XI/Diploma in Engineering, B.Tech./B.Arch. and MBBS/BDS
will be conducted at these Centres. The Vice-Chancellor appointed Four Committees consisting of Deans of the
Faculties, Members of the Executive Council and senior teachers of the University to visit these Centres to assess the
facilities available, security measures to be adopted at these Centres and ascertain the reputation of the institutions
where the Admission Tests shall be conducted. This is a move aimed at attracting meritorious students to AMU and
further strengthening its All India Character. The Committee members are expected to embark on their visits to these
Centres this week.
